The Internet is not pleased with the new 'Power Rangers' costumes

The Power Rangers crew revealed their new uniforms today, and the Internet is not pleased. The Power Rangers reboot that comes out in March 2017, gave the Rangers a serious update, making everyone miss synthetic fabrics. With Twitter in a frenzy, fans cried out, calling the new Rangers slightly sexist, and Iron Man rip-offs. Ever since the photo was released by Entertainment Weekly, people were keen to point out the glaring differences in the outfits of the Yellow Ranger, Trini, and the Pink Ranger, Kimberly.

Fans are furious about the dramatic “chest armor” these new uniforms provide. On a serious note though, it's ludicrous how the Rangers are expected to move around in such heavy armors. At the very least, the old spandex bodysuits provided some flexibility. Not to mention, the female Rangers are also wearing heels in the new movie; wedges, to be exact. Andrew Menzies, the production designer confessed to Entertainment Weekly,It's tricky finding a new language for a superhero costume. Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that's not man-made. You can't win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.”

Looks like fans will just have to stomach their displeasure, and just get used to the new costumes.
