Rockstar Games to debut GTA 6 extended preview on Netflix

Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will receive an extended preview, which will premiere on Netflix on August 27 before being released on YouTube and the official GTA 6 website later the same day.

Titled “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look,” the presentation will debut on Netflix at 12pm PT (3pm ET). It will be published on Rockstar Games’ YouTube channel and the official GTA 6 website about 6 hours later.

Rockstar Games has not disclosed the length of the presentation or confirmed what it will include. The studio has released only cinematic trailers for the game so far, prompting speculation among fans that the showcase could feature its first gameplay footage.

Netflix describes the presentation as an opportunity for viewers to “see an extended look at ‘Grand Theft Auto VI,’ the next evolution in the groundbreaking ‘Grand Theft Auto’ series.”

Brandon Riegg, vice president of nonfiction series at Netflix, said: “The anticipation and fandom around ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ is unprecedented, and we’re honored that Rockstar Games has partnered with us to debut the next part of the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ story with Netflix members first.”

He added: “The partnership reflects Netflix’s broader ambition to become a platform for ambitious storytelling across different forms of entertainment.”

The announcement comes as GTA 6 remains one of the most anticipated video game releases in recent years.
