Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuyan is making his acting debut in “Brazentina,” an eight-episode series inspired by the excitement of the FIFA World Cup. Directed by Tarique Muhammad Hasan, the series began filming at Kalabagan Ground in Dhaka, where Jamal started his football career.
Jamal said he initially declined the role but was eventually persuaded by the director. While he has appeared in commercials before, he described acting as a new and challenging experience.
The series features Tasnuva Tisha, Lamima Lam, Sharaf Ahmed Zibon, Shahid Un Nabi, and Ishtiaq Ahmed alongside Jamal. “Brazentina” is set to premiere on OTT platform iScreen on June 30.
