The body of content creator and actor Kaarina Kaisar was brought back to Bangladesh on Sunday.
The flight carrying Karina landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 4:50pm. Her father, former national football team captain Kaisar Hamid, received her body at 5:20pm.
Though surrounded by the media, he remained speechless, visibly emotional and teary-eyed.
According to the family, Kaarina’s first namaz-e-janaza will be held after Maghrib prayers at the DOHS field in Banani, Dhaka. A second janaza will take place after Isha prayers at Banani Darbar Sharif. Her body will then be taken to the Central Shaheed Minar at 10pm.
She will be laid to rest after Fajr prayers on Monday in Abdullahpur, Munshiganj.
Kaarina had been in critical condition for several days due to liver-related complications. She was initially placed on life support at a private hospital in the capital. Later, on Monday night, she was flown by air ambulance to Chennai, India, for advanced treatment. She died there on May 15 while undergoing treatment.
