Netflix has set August 7 for The Last House, the sci-fi thriller starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura. The film, directed by Louis Leterrier, was previously titled 11817.
The Last House follows a family of four trapped inside their home as supplies run low and a threatening presence blocks any escape. Netflix has also released the first images from the film.
The cast includes Riley Chung, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski and Gabriel Barbosa.
Leterrier, known for Fast X and Now You See Me, directed the film from a script by Matthew Robinson. The project comes from Chernin Entertainment and 3 Arts Entertainment, with Leterrier producing alongside Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Kori Adelson and Oly Obst. Thomas Benski, Cecile Gaget, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher and Damian Anderson serve as executive producers.
Lee’s recent screen credits include Tron: Ares, A House of Dynamite and Past Lives. She is also known for Russian Doll and The Morning Show, which earned her an Emmy Award nomination. Her upcoming projects include voice roles in Toy Story 5 and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Moura received an Academy Award nomination for The Secret Agent. His earlier credits include Civil War, The Gray Man, Narcos, Mr & Mrs Smith and Dope Thief.
