Up to 36% off for students on Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's concert tickets

A charity concert titled Echoes of Revolution is being organized by a group of students from Dhaka University (DU) and other institutions through the Spirits of July platform, in support of the families of martyrs and injured individuals from the July-August student movement.

The concert will feature renowned Pakistani artist Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who will perform free of charge.

The organizers have announced that all proceeds from the concert will be donated to the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation, a welfare organization working for the martyrs and injured.

Ticket sales began on last Monday night and will continue until Thursday at 11pm.

The charity concert will be held on December 21 and ticket sales have already commenced.

In honor of the students' significant role in the July 24 movement, special discounts of 16% to 36% are being offered to students on ticket purchases, starting from the first hour of Victory Day.

At a press conference on Tuesday, the organizers revealed that tickets are available in three categories.

VIP tickets, priced at Tk10,000, will be available for students at a 16% discount (Tk8,400). Front Row tickets, priced at Tk4,500, will be offered at a 24% discount (Tk3,420). General tickets, originally Tk2,500, will be available for students at a 36% discount (Tk1,600).

To avail of the discount, students must use their institutional email addresses when purchasing tickets. Students without an institutional email can seek assistance from others to purchase tickets.

Booths have been set up at Dhaka University’s TSC and various other public and private universities for in-person sales. Tickets are also available online via Get Set Rock.

The information was shared at a press conference by the main organizer of Echoes of Revolution, Mahiyuddin Mujahid Mahi.
