Babna, Chandan, Shunno & Razeeb to perform together for the first time in Toronto!

This unique unplugged event will bring together iconic artists across generations for an unforgettable evening of music and camaraderie. Hosted by Sound of Music Toronto, Nostalgia Unplugged will take place at the People’s Theatre for Performing Arts, a cutting-edge venue that will host a Bangladeshi concert for the first time.

At the heart of Nostalgia Unplugged are two legends: Babna Karim of Warfaze and Chandan of Winning. These pioneers, influential in shaping Bangladesh’s musical scene since the 90s, will share the stage for the first time. Babna’s soulful voice, deep bass lines and intricate flamenco-magic are set to blend with Chandan’s charismatic vocals and masterful guitar work, making this collaboration a long-awaited dream come true for both artists and their fans.

Adding a fresh twist, Emil and Michael from the contemporary band Shunno will reimagine their music in an unplugged format, offering fans a surprising new take on their beloved hits. Emil’s excitement to present Shunno “in a different mood and light” suggests a dynamic and innovative performance, bringing a modern sensibility to the night.

Completing this illustrious lineup is Razeeb, a contemporary artist whose recent successful concert with Anjan Dutt in Toronto has made him a rising star across the Canadian Indian and Bangladeshi music lovers. Razeeb’s presence at Nostalgia Unplugged signifies a harmonious blend of the old and the new, as he joins Babna, Chandan, and Shunno in celebrating Bangladeshi music’s legacy.

The musicians include Rajeeb and Sajib on percussion, Arnab on guitar, Paul on bass guitar, and Rajib Rahman from New York on keyboard.
