On the occasion of Christmas and the English New Year; the duet jazz song "Together" by was released on December 22, 2023 at the London Music Showcasing, a live music venue in Tooting, London.
Bangladeshi British singer-songwriter and producer Pritom Ahmed featured the Jazz Song ‘Together’ with American singer Jenna Cogan.
Though primarily recognized as a Bangladeshi music artist, Pritom Ahmed, currently a music research student at City University of London, pursued higher education in music in America and England.
Regarding the spontaneous creation and release of jazz songs, especially considering his background as a Bangladeshi genre music artist, Pritom stated, "This is a part of my research. I am delving into musical diversity and musicology. Jazz music carries a kind of nobility in the world in world music, and I've never come across a jazz song by any Bangladeshi artist in British or American mainstream music. Given my focus on ethnological and musical diversity, I believed that a jazz song sung by a South Asian could undoubtedly add a new dimension to world music. Moreover, this type of music and industry is intricately linked to my daily work, as I am actively involved in English culture and music, making English songs an essential part of my exploration."
Pritom also revealed that another English pop song is set to be released on Valentine's Day, featuring the collaboration of a Spanish and American artist.
Both Pritom's "Together" and the upcoming releases will be digitally distributed by Sony Music.
