A premier show of a documentary film on Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta directed by the renowned filmmaker Tanvir Mokammel will be held at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Segunbagicha on Monday.
The show of the 70-minute long documentary on the life and work of language hero Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta titled “Titas Parer Manushti: Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta” will take place at Chitrashala auditorium at 6pm.
The documentary has been produced by the present generation members of Dutta's family.
MP Aroma Dutta, granddaughter of Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta, MP R A M Obaidul Moktadir Chowdhury, writers and intellectuals Mofidul Haque and Shahriar Kabir and the documentary maker Tanvir Mokammel will attend the event.
For the first time in 1948, Dhirendranath Dutta placed a motion in the Pakistan parliament to accord Bangla the status of one of the official languages of the country
The exhibition is open to all.
