In memory of martyred intellectuals, Deepto TV is set to release a special docudrama on Dr Mohammad Martuza who was killed by the Pakistani forces and their collaborators during the 1971 Liberation War.
He was a prominent physician and a prolific communist writer. His book “Population and Wealth” earned him the 1964 National Bank Literature Award.
A group of Al Badrs abducted him on December 14, 1971, using the sari of his little daughter as blindfold; and his body was finally recovered on January 3, 1972.
Based on his extraordinary life and illustrious career, a docudrama titled “Surjoshontan Dr Mohammad Martuza” will premiere on Deepto TV, on December 13 at 12 am, and December 14 at 12.10pm.
