”Shonar Bangla Circus” (SBC) is thrilled to announce their first ever solo concert on November 25, Thursday, to be held at the TSC auditorium, University of Dhaka. The gates open at 6pm local time and the show commences at sharp 7pm.
"Hyena Express" is a concept album expressing a wide range of human ethos and a poetic journey within that circumference. The album was released on February 29, 2020. A few days after the release, the news of the global pandemic made them take a back seat in progressing the journey of their musical express.
“This sure came across as disappointing at first but turned out to be a blessing in disguise eventually. The listeners who were forced to isolate and stay indoors and online, started connecting to the tracks from the heart. A symbiotic relationship came into being. People started expressing their love for the band. According to the band, a sincere expression of love from their listeners over the last two years of isolation has been the best gift the band has received. Now that the situation is a little manageable to get back to business, the band is stoked to express their heartfelt music back to their listeners, live and loud, for the first time, in a musical theatrical kind of display,” read a press release.
Combining the world of sound and visuals in a thematic setting, those in attendance will get to witness not only the band playing the entire album live but in a symbiotic affair with the crowd; also etch in their memories, a musical circus that may last a while. There will also be band merchandise at the venue for the fans.
Ticket details are available on the band’s Facebook page.
