Salsabil Mahmud, wife of singer Mainul Ahsan Noble, has officially served him with divorce papers. Salsabil states that she took this step after Noble did not give up his habits despite many failed efforts.
The couple had filed for divorce the past year as well. Mahmud stated, “I mailed the divorce letter last year. But, It is possible to postpone the proceedings. It takes three months for the divorce to take effect. I postponed hoping Noble would get clean. I re-started the process Thursday morning.”
In a Facebook post on Thursday, May 4, Salsabil Mahmud said: "I did not clear up the matter before, as we both decided to ask the lawyer to put the divorce registration on hold. But after some recent incidents, Noble and I spoke. I asked him to give him up on substance abuse for the last time and get treatment. He made it clear that he would never quit and even said, 'If I was going to quit I would have quit already lol'. After that I completed my divorce registration as a family decision.''
Alleging the involvement of others in the singer's substance issues, Mahmud further states: “Noble was never this unwell. Noble alone is not solely responsible for his current state. Of course he holds the most responsibility, but many powerful people have contributed to his substance acquisition and addiction. Which includes senior government administrative officials, politicians, powerful businessmen.”
Finally, Noble's wife said, "You may or may not have seen the criminals on the news, but you must have seen and will continue to see them around Nobel. Some of whom are also show organisers.”
