Shakira jabs at ex Pique with ‘might kill my ex’ TikTok on Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day, Shakira had some harsh words for ex-partner Gerard Pique after the former Barcelona star announced a new relationship with Clara Chia, reportedly a PR Student at a university.

Shakira mouthed in a new TikTok video, lip-syncing lyrics to SZA's hit “Kill Bill” while mopping her kitchen.

The track, which has gained popularity on TikTok, is about a scorned woman who indulges in revenge against an ex-partner.

“I might kill my ex, not the best idea. His new girlfriend's next, how'd I get here?” Shakira, 46, mouths in the video.

“I might kill my ex, I still love him, though. Rather be in jail than alone, I did it all for love,” she continued.

The pair announced their split, ending their 11-year relationship, last June after rumors of the soccer star's alleged infidelity.

And two weeks ago, the retired soccer star—who shares sons Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8, with Shakira—went Instagram official with his girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.

Shakira previously asserted that she put her life on hold for Pique before he let her down, and as a result, their conflict has become more personal.

In September of last year, she remarked: "One of the two had to make that effort and that sacrifice [to care for our children]."

"So I did it. I put my job on hold and traveled to Spain to be by his side as he played football and won a championship. And it was a loving sacrifice. Because of that, I am able to be present for my children, and as a result, we have an incredible, lasting bond. You realize that's it. I can only say that," said Shakira.

Fans were quick to jump into the comments section, noting the video was particularly shady.

One fan joked: “Shakira bby Why u mopping the carpet..?”

“I also mop my carpet in heels,” one person wrote while another joked: “Just do it girl I'll cover for you.”

“Shakira posting this is iconic,” a third commenter chimed in, as another fan wrote, “As if she couldn't have gotten any more iconic.. there's this.”

The former couple first met in 2010 on the set of the "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" music video. The track was the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup held in South Africa, and multiple footballers made an appearance in the video, including Spain's Gerard Pique.

In addition to a song last month called "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol 53" that makes homage to the former Barcelona star, Shakira also published a full album in 2022. Before the end of 2023, more music may be on the horizon.
