The official trailer of Indian movie ‘Faraaz,' a thriller based on the true events of 2016 terrorist attack at Dhaka, was released on January 16. Indian filmmaker Hansal Mehta is the director of the film.
T-Series on its YouTube channel released the two-minute-long trailer that begins with a bunch of people enjoying their meal at the Holey Artisan Bakery. Suddenly a group of terrorists break into the restaurant and start shooting at random people.
Paresh Rawals's son Aditya Rawal plays one of the terrorists while late actor Shashi Kapoor's grandson Zahaan Kapoor is seen as one of the customers in his debut film. As Bangladeshi police starts to plan a counter attack on the terrorist group, Zahaan is seen to fight the terrorists to save lives inside the restaurant. The trailer ends with Zahaan's dialogue toward the terrorists, “I want my Islam back from people like you.”
Meanwhile, Bangladeshi filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's film “Saturday Afternoon,” based on the same incident is still stuck at Bangladesh Film Censor Board.
Hansal Mehta's thriller “Faraaz” features Aamir Ali, Jatin Sarin and Juhi Babbar along with Aditya Rawal and Zahaan Kapoor. The title of the film “Faraaz” pays tribute to Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain, who displayed immense bravery to save his friends and eventually died during the terrorist shootout.
