“Avatar: The Way of Water,” long awaited sequel to James Cameron's widely recognized “Avatar,” was globally released on December 16. Star Cineplex has started screening the film since the date of release.
Legendary filmmaker James Cameron's “Avatar” was released in 2009. However, Cameron planned and wrote the screenplay for the film in 1994. Due to a scarcity of required technology, he had to wait till the right time. “Avatar 2009” achieved numerous prestigious awards including Oscar and generated highest ever revenue for a film. Since then, film admirers around the globe have been waiting for the sequel to the film.
James Cameron, who is widely known for his masterpieces like “Titanic” and “Terminator,” portrays an aquatic world for the viewers this time. Set in the year 2154, “The Way of Water's” story depicts a declining planet Earth. A representative group of earth travels to another planet “Pandora” to extract “Unobtainium,” which can save the nearly dead planet Earth. The film stands on the clash between the habitants of two planets.
Stars from the first film, sAM Worthington, Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver acted in the new sequel too. New faces like Michelle Yeoh, Edie Falco and Kate Winslet performed in James Cameron's “Avatar: The Way of Water.”
Star Cineplex is currently screening the movie and the tickets are available at all Cineplex branches and online.
