Popular Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan is going to star in a yet-untitled feature film by renowned filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. The film will cast Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjana Sanghi, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Dilip Shankar along with Jaya.
Wiz Films' upcoming investigative drama with a heart-wrenching story centers around a dysfunctional family. The film sets in Kolkata and Mumbai and the filming has already started.
Versatile actress Jaya Ahsan has previously appeared in Indian-Bangla films. But this is going to be her first appearance in a Hindi movie.
“This is my first film in Hindi and my character is an integral part of the movie,” said Jaya Ahsan to Hindustan Times. “I was thrilled and said yes immediately because Aniruddha is the director, and I have Pankaj Tripathi as one of my co-actors. I am excited for the shoot to begin.”
Producer Viraf Sarkari about the cast said, “This is our first feature film… and we are extremely delighted to begin this journey with a socially relevant film being put together by a multi-award-winning and talented team of actors.”
