Anupam Kher to produce web series on 1971 Liberation War

Bollywood actor, Anupam Kher, is going to produce a Netflix web series based on “a real life incident” that took place during the 1971 Liberation War, reports The Indian Express. The casting of the show has not been decided yet. The actor told the Press Trust of India (PTI) that a Canadian and an Indian writers are currently working on the script. “It is about 1971 war. I don’t know if I will act or not as it depends on the demand of the script,” Kher told PTI. JP Dutta's film "Border" that was released in 1997 WikipediaPreviously, Bollywood has dramatised the 1971 war many times in films like Chetan Anand's “Hindustan Ki Kasam” (1973), JP Dutta's “Border” (1997), the Sagar brothers' “1971 – Prisoners of War” (2007) and others.  Anupam has recently won the IIFA award as best supporting actor in “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”.
