Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's clothing brand Being Human is expanding its base in Bangladesh, with its first outlet opening this Thursday in the capital’s Banani.
The opening will be attended by renowned actor and Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan and his nephew Ayaan Agnihotri and the CEO of Being Human Clothing Sanjeev Rao.
The local franchisees of the disruptive clothing brand, which has become a popular choice for the youth in India, are Rehan Rahman and Mohaimin Mostafa. They are also the co-owners of Crimson Cup Bangladesh.
Salehin F Nahian, the director of a leading construction firm Fakhor Uddin Brothers and the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industries, is also a co-owner of the franchise.
“We are bringing the franchise because we feel there are huge demands for an international clothing brand in Bangladesh,” one of the franchisees told Dhaka Tribune.
According to the franchisee, there is a huge fan base of Salman Khan in Bangladesh and the brand’s international quality products are likely to be welcomed by both the fashion and fan communities.
The brand is a fusion of charity, humanism, fashion and glamour and parts of its profits from sales are contributed to 'Being Human – The Salman Khan Foundation,’ which is a charitable trust based in Mumbai, India.
The trust is devoted to undertaking education and healthcare initiatives for the underprivileged in India and it has helped thousands of people over the years with access to healthcare and education.
Founded in 2012, as an extension of the Bollywood star-founded charitable trust, Being Human Clothing currently operates in more than 15 countries, having 500 store-in-stores and 75 exclusive outlets worldwide.
Four Aces Fashion House Pvt Ltd, which currently has the license of the clothing brand, appointed Sanjeev Rao as the CEO to lead its expansion into more markets last year due to his vast experience in the retail garment industry.
Since then, the company has doubled down on expanding its footprint in other markets.
Being Human Clothing’s apparel range is centered on a fashion-forward approach. According to the company, its experienced design teams ensure that global design trends are met and international quality standards are assured.
The result is a fashionable, trendsetting line of clothing and accessories for men and women, the ultimate goal of which is to cater to a good cause.
Being Human Clothing is also predominantly recognized for its strong line of athleisure apparel in easy-to-wear fabrics and styles.
Apart from the clothing line, Being Human also has e-cycle and jewellery under its portfolio.
