Global Youth Leadership Summit 2022, organized by Global Youth Parliament, was held at Bangkok, Thailand, on June 24, 2022.
Bangladeshi film activist and producer Hemanta Sadeeq won the much-coveted Global Youth Leadership Award.
In an attempt to decentralize filmmaking, Sadeeq launched a new film society, titled Cinema Bangladesh, in 2015. For the last few years, his organization has been arranging national and international festivals to provide young filmmakers an ideal platform to polish their craft.
Cinema Bangladesh won the Joy Bangla Youth Award in 2022.
Hemanta Sadeeq was born in 1994. He studied at the Department of Theater and Performance Studies of the University of Dhaka, and Mass Communication and Journalism of the Daffodil International University, Bangladesh.
