Netflix has dropped a new trailer for the second volume of the fourth season of 80’s inspired coming-of-age show “Stranger Things.”
The first volume has been widely popular for the streaming giant, earning 286 million hours of viewing time in its first weekend, and placing Kate Bush’s frequently-referenced song “Running Up That Hill” at the top of the charts.
The cast includes Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, David Harbour, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer and Robert Englund.
The fourth season marks the longest of “Stranger Things” seasons yet, which has incorporated more horror elements than ever before and proved to be hit-or-miss with the critics.
IndieWire’s Ben Travers wrote, “Season 4 feels like it’s been designed to produce good data rather than quality entertainment. The algorithm once heralded for so much of Netflix’s success and derided for ignoring the human factor certainly feels present here, as any remaining strangeness gets usurped by formula.”
The new episodes will premiere on Friday, July 1. Watch the trailer below:
