Netflix original film, “Heart of Stone,” is all set to begin filming this month, with a star-studded cast including Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt.
She would be starring alongside “Wonder Woman” famed actor Gal Gadot and “50 Shades of Grey” actor Jamie Dornan.
The Netflix thriller marks Alia’s acting debut in Hollywood. She took to Instagram and wrote, “And off I go to shoot my first ever Hollywood film. Feel like a newcomer all over again – so nervous! Wish me luck.”
Her mother Soni Razdan replied, “Wishing you all the luck in the whole world.” Her sister-in-law Riddhima Kapoor commented, “We love you,” and Arjun Kapoor called her ‘International khiladi’.
Netflix announced the casting of Alia earlier in March, “Exciting News: Alia Bhatt will star alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in their new movie Heart of Stone!”
Directed by Tom Harper and based on a screenplay by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder, the film has been described as a spy thriller. Specific plot details have been kept under wraps.
Alia is next set to star in several Bollywood projects, including “Brahmastra,” “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani” and “Darlings.”
