A promising FBI agent Clarice Starling decided to consult psychiatrist-turned-serial killer Hannibal Lecter in order to understand the psyche of another serial killer, Buffalo Bill, on the loose, as depicted in 1991 iconic film Silence of the Lambs.
CBS will return with a TV sequel titled Clarice, set in 1993, to follow around the young detective as she returns to her job and tries to cope with her past traumatic events.
Rebecca Breeds will star as Clarice Sterling, taking over from Jodie Foster, who won an Oscar for this role in the Best Actress category. The 2001 film sequel also starred Julianne Moore in the iconic role.

The synopsis of the upcoming series reads: “Venture into 1993, a year after the events of “The Silence of the Lambs,” to explore the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C.”
Executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet, Clarice will premiere on CBS on February 11.
