Amitabh Bachchan reveals how granddaughter Aaradhya helped him fight Covid-19

Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and his family were recently diagnosed with Covid-19. Media reports showed how fans of the Bachchan family around India at the time had fervently prayed for their recovery.

At a recent virtual event, Big B reflected on those difficult days and revealed how as a family they beat the disease.

As the entire family including Abhishek Bachcha, Aishwarya Rai and their daughter Aaradhya tested positive for coronavirus, Amitabh said, it was his granddaughter Aaradhya who motivated him not to give up, and to stay strong.

Amitabh wrote about the day when Aaradhya was discharged along with her mother before Amitabh and Abhishek could be, “… they go home the little one and Bahurani .. and the tears flow out .. the little one embraces and tells me not to cry ..’you’ll be home soon’ she assures .. I must believe her.”

Amitabh also shared what his granddaughter chose to learn from her ordeal with coronavirus, “Last night, my granddaughter Aaradhya was seeing KBC and said, you know, this corona might mean ‘the crown’ but actually it is ‘karo na’. Which means, ‘don’t do’. I thought that was brilliant.”

The host of the event joked that Aaradhya must have inherited her grandmother Jaya Bachchan’s genes, to which Amitabh agreed and said, “I was expecting that.”

The 77 year old actor is now back to work, filming the new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
