DJ Erick Morillo, best known for the track "I Like To Move It," was found dead in his Miami Beach home, local police confirmed.
His death comes within a month of his arrest for sexually assaulting a female DJ after a gig. Morillo, 49, denied the sexual assault charge. He was scheduled for a court hearing on Friday.
He released his 1994 hit I Like To Move It under the name Reel 2 Real. It became a smash hit after a remix of the original song was featured in the 2005 animated film Madagascar.
