Millie Bobby Brown plays Sherlock’s brilliant teen sister on Netflix

British actor Millie Bobby Brown, widely known as Eleven - a mysterious girl fighting strange forces in 1980s Indiana, has taken up the role of another brilliant, rebellious young girl who’s trying to find her way through the chaos of adolescence and a voice of her own as a 19th century free-spirited lady.

Based on Nancy Springer’s book series titled Enola, Henry Cavill plays the older brother Sherlock who has perhaps for the first time found himself in a difficult situation where he might have to unconditionally care for someone else – not something you see the famously impassive, calculated Sherlock doing every day.

On Enola’s 16th birthday, her mother, played by Helena Bonham Carter, disappears leaving a handful of gifts and no clues regarding her whereabouts. Hence, Enola takes the guise of a boy and sets out on a journey to find her mother.

According to reports, Netflix is however being sued by the estate of Arthur Conan Doyle for having allegedly infringed on the Holmes stories copyright.

Enola Holmes is set to be released on Netflix in September.
