Amitabh Reza confirms Aynabaji’s return amid coronavirus pandemic

Bangladeshi crime thriller film Aynabaji is set to return soon. The critically acclaimed film director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury has confirmed the news after keeping everyone in much suspense.

The main characters Ayna, Hridi and Crime Reporter Saber will come back in a new form to awaken people and raise awareness about Covid-19 outbreak.

The suspense intensified since Sunday night when Amitabh Reza suddenly posted this status on Facebook: “Thinking of something to do with Ayna in this crisis of Coronavirus. Let's see what can be done…”

The suspense finally came to an end when he opened up about his project more. On his second post on Facebook, Amitabh Reza wrote: “Aynabaji returns! Here they come-- Ayna, Hridi, and Crime Reporter Saber. We are reuniting after three and half years. Our future remains uncertain, at a time when the entire world has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This reunion of us may be a sign of salvation. It is a mere effort, so that we all can stay well and good together!

“We all are held captive at our home, yet this is an effort to stand and stay beside to all, in the dire times of coronavirus. By stitching limited possibilities together, probably we shall see light at the end of the tunnel, we can move towards positive changes. May our mirror be the reflection of awareness! I thank Chanchal Chowdhury, Nabila and Partho Barua for reuniting in this nobel effort.”

Producer Ziauddin Adil said in an interview: “I am reuniting with the team to do an awareness program for all. The characters of Aynabaji can’t stay idle during the coronavirus pandemic! Can they? Something surely needs to be done.”

But he stayed tight-lipped as to what to expect with regard to Aynabaji’s return.
