On April 3, season 4 of the popular Spanish series Money Heist premiered on Netflix. According to various reports, the next season of the crime series has already been confirmed.
Emerging as a global Television sensation, Money Heist revolves around a group of robbers led by a man called 'The Professor.' It has been reported as the most viewed Netflix show on Bangladesh.
According to the Spanish site Marca, Netflix made a renewal agreement with the maker of the show, even before the release of season 4. These reports suggest that the hit crime drama will have a fifth and sixth season.
With regard to the possible upcoming seasons, the Script Coordinator Javier Gómez Santander revealed to El Mundo: “With La Casa De Papel (Money Heist), we go game by game, like Simeone. Chapter by chapter, sequence by sequence, line by line."
"We do not ever consider how long the show can last," he added.
Season 4 of Money Heist, despite being an emotional rolleroaster ride, has frustrated fans owing to a flawed script and various narrative loopholes. Many took to social media and wondered if it is a good idea after all to extend the series.
However, the future of the show is uncertain amid the coronavirus pandemic as the shooting is supposed to take place in Spain. It is safe to say that the filming of the next possible season will be delayed.
Netflix has yet to confirm whether a fifth season is under way.
