It was an exciting moment when Aashiqui star Anu Aggarwal met Aashiqui 2 actress Shraddha Kapoor and a selfie of the two has been breaking the Internet since yesterday.
The two actors were at a special screening of Begum Jaan, which marked the completion of 30 years for Vishesh Films. The Bhatts launched Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal with Aashiqui back in 1990 which went on to become a blockbuster eventually.

Half Girlfriend is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name. The lead protagonists play the roles of basketball players in the movie. When Shraddha was cast in the film adaptation as the main lead, many had expressed their concerns about whether she would be able to play the character well because of her girl-next-door image.
Director Mohit Suri, who has previously directed her in Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, was of the view that Shraddha is a quick learner. He said, “Shraddha would train for hours on end every day for over a month. While Arjun is a basketball pro, Shraddha was supposed to play a university girl, who is damn good at it. It was important for her to get the basics right. She is a quick learner and also receptive to feedback. The DU girls, who play basketball, would play a game or two while we weren’t shooting.” And that’s how he convinced everyone that Shraddha was apt for the role.
Recently, Shraddha and Arjun Kapoor have recreated the book cover image for the movie’s poster. The newly released poster is the exact replica of the cover of Chetan Bhagat’s novel – Half Girlfriend. The first trailer of the movie will be released soon.
