Fakhrul Arefeen Khan’s upcoming movie, “Gondi,” has been in the spotlight from the beginning of this year, for its storyline and cast.
We already know that Sabyasachi Chakrabarty has been cast to portray a 65-year-old man in the film alongside Suborna Mustafa.
The first part of the film was shot in London while the rest was supposed to be shot in Cox's Bazar and Dhaka.
Currently, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and Suborna Mustafa are in Cox’s Bazar filming an important part of the movie.
Shooting began in Pechar Dwip yesterday and the cast and crew are to return to Dhaka on March 31.
Based on Reza Arif’s script, the story of the film develops around a friendship between a 65-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, who develop feelings for each other.
The cast also includes Aparna Ghose, Majnun Mizan, and child actor Fiona.
To film maker Arefeen’s credit are documentaries like “Haq-er Ghar,” “Al Badar,” and “The Speech,” and feature film “Bhuban Majhi,” based on the Liberation War of 1971.
