Blues Communication, an event management organization and Banglalink, a telecom operator company teamed up to organise Bangladesh’s first drive in movie event on March 16. The event will take place at the International Convention City Bashundhara Expo Zone in Dhaka. The audience can enjoy the films “IT” and “Spiderman Homecoming” at the event.
Blues Communication’s Abir Arman Protik, senior manager of planning, told Dhaka Tribune’s Showtime: “Drive in cinemas are very significant in the western pop culture. We are just trying to give that experience to the moviegoers of Bangladesh for the first time.” He also said: “It will be a very casual event where friends, family and loved ones can drive in with their cars and enjoy the films on a huge screen. There will also be limited seating arrangements for the walk in viewers.”
The tickets of the event are priced at 2500 taka for each car which allows the maximum entry of four persons. Single walk in entry tickets are 1000 taka each. Tickets are available at Tabaq (Gulshan 1 and JFP branches), Madchef (Dhanmondi), Banglalink Customer Care Point (Gulshan 2 and Uttara) and Banglalink Service Point (Shwapno, Banani).
