Channel i to air ‘Basic Ali’ season two

Famous cartoon strip ‘‘Basic Ali’’ is set to be aired on Channel I as a live action comedy series at 6.30pm on every Friday starting from November 24.
Tawsif Mahbub will be playing the lead role of the cartoon while other lead roles to be played by Sabila Nur (Ria), Bijori Barkatullah (Moli Ali), Mir Naufel Ashrafi Jisan (Hillol), Rifat Jahan (Nature) and Ananda Azim (Magic).
The series, which features different stories in each episode, is directed by Kajal Arefin Ome. The creator of the comic, Sharier Khan told these to the press at a press conference on Wednesday.
He also expressed hoped that the audience will enjoy the series as a live action comedy instead of a mere cartoon strip.
The press conference was hosted by the production company of the series - Basic Studios Bangladesh.
The first season of “Basic Ali” had 13 episodes and made available on the Basic Studios Bangladesh’s YouTube channel from June 2017.
The original cartoon strip was launched in 2006 on Daily Prothom Alo’s editorial page.
