'Cersei Lannister' sexually harassed by Weinstein

Accusations of sexual assault against Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood mogul, continues. Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister on the popular HBO show, is the latest to join the long list of actors, who have slammed the big shot executive with a series of sexual abuse allegations. Lena has accused producer Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment in a series of Twitter posts. The notorious 'Queen of Westeros' detailed out the allegation in a series of Twitter posts where she said that Weinstein was "furious" after she resisted his sexual advances. Headey described sharing a lift with Weinstein after he had invited her to his room to show her a script in her Twitter posts. Recalling her memories from an unpleasant encounter with Harvey, Headey wrote, "The lift was going up and I said to Harvey, I'm not interested in anything other than work, please don't think I got in here with you for any other reason, nothing is going to happen.” "I don't know what possessed me to speak out at that moment, only that I had such a strong sense of don't come near me. He was silent after I spoke, furious. He walked me back to the lift by grabbing and holding tightly to the back of my arm," she said. The 44 year old popular GOT actress added that she felt "completely powerless" at the time. According to Lena, Harvey then went on to whisper in her ear to warn her not to tell anyone about the encounter. "I got into my car and cried," Lena wrote. With her latest allegation against the former chairman of The Weinstein Company studio, the British actress joins a list of over 40 women who have accused the producer of misconduct. As a consequence of the recent accusations made against the well-heeled Hollywood executive, Weinstein resigned from the board of directors of his eponymous film production company on Tuesday. Weinstein, however, has "unequivocally denied" any allegations of non-consensual relationships, reported BBC.
