Tanvir Mokammel to attend film fests in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan

Prominent Bangladeshi filmmaker Tanvir Mokammel left Dhaka on Sunday to attend two different film festivals in Uzbekistan capital Tashkend and Kyrgyzstan capital Bishkek. He is set to attend the screenings of three of his films- Jibondhuli, Lalsalu and Chitra Nodir Pare.
The Ekushey Padak winner is also going to inaugurate the film festival in Bishkek. Among the films, Jibondhuli is the latest which was released in 2014 and starred Shatabdi Wadud, Jyotika Jyoti and Pran Roy. Lalsalu, adapted from Syed Waliullah’s novel by the same name, was released in 2001 and starred Raisul Islam Asad, Tauquir Ahmed and Chandni. The earliest among the screening line-up is 1998 film Chitra Nodir Pare which starred Tauquir Ahmed, Afsana Mimi and Momtazuddin Ahmed.
