Shabana Azmi visits Dhaka

In the graduation ceremony, the legendary actress delivered a speech to the recent graduates. The actress said in her speech that, “One can not measure success by comparing only job and payment. Anyone can have as much money as he/she wants. However, to what extent you are successful in life could only be measured in a way that what citizen you are to the world. A physician can sing, write or paint as well which represents his/her personality. An example of success is how you involve creativity in the world.”

In the ceremony, Azmi recited a poem of her father Kaifi Azmi, an Indian Urdu poet who will always be remembered for bringing Urdu literature to Indian motion pictures.

I always count on the younger generation. All you have to do is think about your dreams and how you wish to see the world in your dreams. And from now on work accordingly your dreams,” she added.

Azmi, a social and women's rights activist and a governing body member of Brac International, attended the convocation in that connection.
