Naomi Watts on divorce: 'Change is always scary'

Naomi Watts has finally opened up about her recent separation from actor Liev Schreiber as the Mulholland Drive actress says that she feels that she is “in a good place” in her life following her divorce. However, she also added that, “change is always scary.” Two months ago, the actor duo, parents of sons Alexander, 9, and Samuel, 7, announced their separation. The couple has been together for 11 years. Watts told The Daily Telegraph Australia in an interview, published Saturday in what marks as her first comments about the split since the couple's announcement, “I feel I'm in a good place in my life and I want to make sure my kids are healthy, my kids are happy and things are going to go well. Those are my hopes for me and for all of us.” “I feel, whether you're famous or not, transitions are scary for anybody,” the 48-year-old actress added. “I feel like change is always scary, but that's only because transition for anyone is new and you wonder how things are going to go.” Schreiber, 49, who acted alongside Watts in The Painted Veil in 2006 is yet to comment on their split.
