Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am on Tuesday.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Khulna and Barisal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places across the country,” said a Met Office bulletin on Tuesday.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, it added.
The highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 35.6°C in Rajshahi district while Tuesday’s minimum temperature at 25°C was recorded in Rangamati district.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours, as of 6am Tuesday, was recorded at 47mm in Sylhet district.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:35pm on Tuesday and Wednesday sunrise will be at 5:32am.
