Two poems by Kamal Chowdhury

Loan

Holding hands you walked

One night and a dawn has passed in the street

One day has passed in the tamarisk groves

The loan that you have touched my lips.

You have given me no chance to pay it back in this life.

The Dream of Buying

Such a difficult day. Yet, I wrote you in the dedication part

Keep well.

The sound of the bombs, breaking down is going on somewhere

The locality is of farce.

The dream of buying sweater in this winter has gone in vain.
