A worrying trend

The fact that there are criminals posing as DNCC officials and duping hard-working citizens out of their hard-earned money is worrisome. Promising to install GPRS name plates, the perpetrators took money from the residents of Dhaka North. What is worse is that, once people realised they had been deceived and contacted the DNCC, the DNCC were unresponsive. The job of each mayor’s office is to ensure that the people under their jurisdiction are not only taken care of, but that their inquiries and complaints are listened and responded to in an efficient manner as well. The authorities must nip this problem in the bud immediately. Not only must they catch the criminals responsible, but also ensure that something like this does not happen again.
