Integrated farming can be an excellent way of helping those in need.
The Option Project is a great example of this. By training marginalised households, they have allowed hundreds of individuals to escape poverty.
What is even more encouraging is that the methods being taught not only increase yield, but also help the environment by minimising the use of chemicals in farming.
This is the kind of project the country can get behind.
By allowing the most marginalised amongst us to get out of poverty, we are not only helping them, but the country as well.
