Learning for life

Our education sector needs reform -- there is no other way around it.

With the textbook crisis not too long ago, and a recent report revealing that students find their education to be lacking in relevance, it is clear that our education system is leaving something to be desired.

Unqualified teachers, below par classrooms and resources, poorly organised curricula, and half-hearted approaches to teaching make for a sorry excuse of an educational platform.

With 60% of undergraduates reporting being stressed out about their education, it is time to find more innovative ways to engage students -- learning should not just be about cramming to pass exams, but about acquiring skills for life.
