Two bullet-hit bodies recovered in Jhenaidah

Police have recovered the bodies of two men, who appeared to have been shot dead, from Jhenaidah sadar upazila. They have been identified as Mofizur Rahman, 28, and Manik, 26. Both were locally known to be drug peddlers. Sadar police's Officer-in-Charge Harendranath Sarkar said they went to Tetulbari on Saturday morning after locals informed them about the bodies lying there. He said police found a packet of contraband yaba tablets and a knife beside the bodies. “We primarily assume that they were killed over dispute to share money,” the OC said, adding that they were investigating the killing.
