Day 1
Give back to the society
Giving has always brought out the best in people. Throughout the decades, people have sought different opportunities to give back to human kind. This Ramadan, try to buy iftar for a poor person, or donate some of your old and unused clothes to the needy.

Day 2
Visit the old and the sick
Try to sort out some time from your busy schedule to meet your relatives who have been sick lately and are elder to you. Try to give them some words of encouragement and take small gifts for them in order to make them happy. You can also talk to the elderly about their experiences to get a view of things in life.
Day 3
Spend time on some religious contemplation
In the month of Ramadan, you may want to minimise the amount of time you spend on playing video games, watching TV series and listening to extremely loud and heavy music. Instead, you may want to think about your actions towards other human beings, so that you can get a profound picture of your actions during Ramadan.

Try directing your thoughts on helping others and creating a harmonious community, rather than getting involved in needless interactions about other people. This will help you cleanse your mind and minimise distractions.

Day 5
Increase your remembrance of Allah
It may be difficult for you to spend hours reading the Quran or performing long sessions of namaz, while you are working. However that doesn’t mean you can't boost your Imaan during this holy month. Try to perform Dhikr whenever you have some time in hand – be it in the car or even at your workplace. This way, you can focus your thoughts on Allah, regardless of the surrounding environment.

Day 6
Try spending a day at an orphanage
Consider yourself privileged to come home after a tiring day at work, only to be greeted warmly by your family. So, you might even want to share your happiness with the less fortunate children and try bringing smiles on their faces by spending some time and sharing some colourful stories of your life with them.
Day 7
Control your cravings
Even after a whole day of fasting, you must ensure that you do not overeat during iftar. Practice the habit of controlling your cravings. Go for boiled and sautéed food rather than fried and roasted for a healthier meal.
