Myth 1: Spot reduction
There's a general misconception that you can reduce fat from a specific area by targeting flab and fat. Not only trying to achieve this will leave you feeling frustrated, it will just be a waste of time for you. Overall fitness is what you should aim for—and that means you should create a caloric deficit through a proper diet or exercise, or a combination of both, if you want to truly lose those fat.Myth 2: Lifting weights will make you look manly
Women do not produce as much muscle-building hormone (testosterone) as men do. So even if a woman lifts heavy weights for years, she will grow stronger, but won't be able to grow large, bulky muscles, unless she injects herself with testosterone or anabolic substances.Myth 3: Fat turns into muscles
Many women think that weight training will turn fats into muscles. Nope. Body fat and muscle tissues are two different elements. To get rid of the fat, weight training is not enough. Cardio has to be incorporated into the equation.
