Less has always been more in our dictionary, but when it comes to jewellery, in addition to those tiny statement studs and nose-pins, this year the bling business is all about going bold—for the most part.
Chokers
The moderately-sized chokers got a cheeky update to a super-thin string. The oversized chunky ones are still hot though, so you have more options to choose from.
Sautoir
When you think of long necklaces, think abstract, unevenly shaped stones, beads and pendants. Layered sautoirs continue to be very much in this season, but it would be wise to turn to them only for those after evening outings when the heat is dialed down.
Cuff bands
Whether you decide to go super thin or thick, statement wrist bands are taking a simpler turn this season, that too in bold metals and with almost no designs on the surface.

Makris or hoops
Blingy, dangly and shiny is the way to go when it comes to choosing your earrings. Jhumkas, makris or hoops in gold, silver, bronze, oxidised—the options are endless.
Asymmetry
Whether it's your necklace, bracelet or earrings, break out of the rut with asymmetric jewellery items this summer. They aren't essentially groundbreaking since they've been around for years, but they make really good statement pieces creating a beautiful chaos.
Pearls
Another jewellery-box staple, pearls, never really go out of style. From the conventional goody two shoes status, they have gotten a bad girl update this year. Incorporated in bolder and funkier designs, the age-old trend has been revived to make versatile statement pieces.
Kaleidoscope
For any jewellery aficionado, summer is never complete without some colourful stones here and there. Channel your inner bohemian with coral, turquoise, or peach beads to go with any outfit.
