Chitrak hosts charity exhibition for Savar victims

Gallery Chitrak has arranged a fund raising group painting exhibition titled “Human Being for Humanity.” This unique group exhibition, started on June 8, is held to support the victims of Savar’s Rana Plaza tragedy. Gallery Chitrak has quite a reputation for active contribution through art by organizing a range of events for humanitarian cause.

There are 42 paintings showcased for sale, of which, almost half has been sold already. 41 artists willingly contributed their artworks for this charitable event. The display is a fabulous and lucrative collection of artworks by eminent artists like Murtaja Bashir, Qayyum Chowdhury, Rafiqun Nabi, Hamiduzzaman to young and promising ones like Dulal Chandra, A H Dhali Tomal, Safin Omar, Sahid Kazi amongst many more. There is also a minimalist print work displayed for sale by art maestro Safiuddin Ahmed.

The exhibition has been inaugurated by Anjan Chowdhury and Munira Munni Chowdhury.

Though the exhibition will continue till June 15 but willing art buyers and those who want to support the cause can buy painting even after the event by communicating with the gallery.
