For the fourth year in a row, one of Chittagong's finest hotels, The Peninsula, is set to organise “Peninsula Premier League-2016.” Popular fashion store Pebbles has agreed to become the title sponsor of the tournament.
Both the organisations recently signed the sponsorship agreement where Mushtak Luhar, general manager of The Peninsula and Abdul Masud Chowdhury, managing partner of Pebbles signed the contract on behalf of their respective organisations. Tanvir Shahriar Rimon, CEO of ANZ Properties Ltd and Ruksana Shahriar, managing director of D2R venture were present along with members of The Peninsula management.
The eight participating teams are F&B Burners, Housekeeping Kings, Front Office Royals, Peninsula Lions, Accounts Chargers, Maintenance Gladiators, F&B Tigers and guest team Simon Beach Resort will fight out the battle of supremacy in the cricket tournament.
Peninsula Premier League 2016 will begin on February 6, M A Aziz stadium where Engr Mosharrof Hossain, Honourable Minister of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works will preside as the chief guest. A J M Nasir Uddin, Mayor of Chittagong city corporation will be present along with other distinguished guests.
