Students receive higher studies scholarship programme in MUnshigonj

As a part of its corporate social responsibility, Bank Asia has provided higher studies scholarship to 41 meritorious students of Sirajdikhan, Malkhanagor, Baligaon, Nimtola, Kolatia, Agla Bazar and Paragram in Dhaka on January 1. A Rouf Chowdhury, chairman of the bank handed over the scholarship to the students at a function held at Malkhanagor College premises in Sirajdikhan. Vice chairman of Rangs Group, Amanullah Chowdhury, chairman of the board executive committee of Bank Asia, Rumee A Hossain; director Shah Md Nurul Alam; president and managing director Md Mehmood Husain, additional managing directors Aminul Islam and Md Arfan Ali, deputy managing directors Mohammed Zahirul Alam, Mamun-ur Rashid and Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury, Sirajdikhan upazila chairman, Mohiuddin Ahmed and the principal of Malkhanagor College, Shafiuddin Hawlader were, among others, present. A large number of people including students, teachers, journalists, businessmen and local elite attended the function.

Bank Asia gives scholarships for higher studies to the meritorious students in the rural areas, where the bank has branches. A total of 186 students have been selected for Bank Asia Higher Studies Scholarship for the year 2015.
