Genflow Biosciences, GENF, up 21% in London on news of New York quote

Genflow Biosciences (LON: GENF) shares are up 21% in London today on he announcement that they're to gain a second listing in New York. Sure, it's not exactly a major exchange, it's the OTCQB market but that's a start. True, GENF has been doing very well just recently, we've a 300% and more rise in the past few weeks. Which partially at least makes up for the 44% loss over 12 months. Partially only, because that's how percentages work.

The reason for the rise in general recently is that Genflow seems to be better off than most similar pharma research companies. While they bill themselves as an anti-ageing company that's not really what they're doing. There are several conditions which appear to be related to the ageing process, but aren't in fact it. More like an accelerated ageing process if you like. So, let's go treat those - a good and sensible idea in itself. But the Genflow thinking is that if we can grasp how to treat those then perhaps we'll learn about the more general ageing process itself - a logically defensible thought at least. The recent rise seems to be more to do with just a general rise in the field than anything else.

Genflow Biosciences share price from London Stock Exchange

What does make GENF different from most pharma research companies at this stage of its life is that it is fully funded for perhaps the next two years. That's a longer runway before more fundraising is required than most such companies. Thus more chance of finding something that merits further research and fundraising of course.

The more specific issue today is that OTCQB quotation coming up. There will be no fundraising associated with it. But it does give access, in the future, to American pools of capital. And given the way in which New York is much more used to funding research pharma the pricing will - when that time comes - be much less dilutive.

New York's just a better - cheaper - place to raise capital for pharma development than London is. Thus the New York quote can be considered to be value generative.
