Fire gutted valuables of a Chinese restaurant in the city’s West Dhanmondi Saturday.
According to fire service sources, the fire broke out in the kitchen of Spoon Chinese Restaurant following an electric short-circuit around 11:50am.
On information, three units from Mohammadpur fire station rushed to the spot and doused the flame after half-an-hour, said duty officer of Fire Brigade Control Room Ataur Rahman.
He said the estimated loss by fire was Tk1m.
However, there was no report of casualty.
