Microsoft organised its five-day long annual conference Microsoft Inspire in Washington DC where partners from 145 countries joined.
The conference was held from Jul 9 - Jul 13. It was organised to recognise top Microsoft partners demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on its technology.
Microsoft acknowledged partners in 34 categories celebrating each of the core partner competencies, including cloud technology, public sector, Microsoft Philanthropies and others.
The award finalists and winners were selected from more than 2,800 nominations collected from 115 countries worldwide based on their commitment to customers, their solution's impact on the market and exemplary use of Microsoft technologies.
Aamra Technologies Limited was announced Microsoft Country Partner of the Year 2017 for Bangladesh. The company was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
During the keynote at Microsoft Inspire, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said: "What makes Microsoft unique is our focus on empowering people and organisations, worldwide, in every industry, in every country. This is our mission together, but we don't celebrate technology for technology's sake. Our success is in our customers' success.
"While our mission and our commitment to partners is steadfast, technology and technology paradigms come and go. One such evolution is the move from a mobile-first, cloud-first world, to one that is rooted in the intelligent edge and intelligent cloud. This shift will bring about more digital technology in more mainstream ways into every life and every organisation," he added.
Microsoft partners employ 17 million people around the world, and Microsoft has 64,000 partners working in cloud services. Together with its partners Microsoft is collectively building the future.
